We take our inspiration (and our name) from Saint Oscar Romero, the late Archbishop of San Salvador, who used his religious convictions and his position within the Catholic Church to work for social justice, remained firm in these convictions and, in the face of severe opposition and real danger, was willing to consistently stand by their beliefs:
Saint Oscar Romero stood by and promoted social justice up until the day in 1980 he was martyred in furtherance of his cause.
‘Our inspiration is not limited solely to Saint Oscar Romero. There are others who are equally worthy, such as German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer and American civil rights leaders, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and John Lewis
